The BIFACE 185 post sharpener is a model dedicated to professionals in the wood-post industry. This mechanically designed sharpener offers high performance and excellent efficiency.
It is equipped with a 10.2-horsepower three-phase electric motor, allowing for the quick sharpening of posts of all types (chestnut, acacia, oak, pine, etc.), whether round or split, with a maximum diameter of 185 mm.
The self-supporting post, for increased comfort, strikes a pallet inside the machine, automatically triggering the action of two high-strength steel knives.
Post pointing is done by a mechanical system that ensures a yield of 500 posts per hour, an unparalleled speed. Sharpening on two sides also allows straightening twisted posts. The sharpening angle and the point section are mechanically adjustable in three different positions.
The BIFACE 185 post sharpener is equipped with an automatic safety system. In case of blockage, the operator can safely retract the knives using a handle. These spring-mounted knives quickly disengage without damaging either the post or the machine.
To further optimize the sharpening process, the post sharpener can be associated with an automatic pointing chain, allowing for the automatic loading of posts into the machine. This significantly reduces handling and downtime while increasing productivity.
